By aligning teachers, administration, parents and the community, our schools meet the individual needs of each student while creating a culture of learning and achievement. Students receive a rigorous, engaging education, complemented by access to the latest learning technology.
Our four schools, located in the Northeastern corner of the City of Buffalo, face many challenges, including poverty and the risk of low graduation and college attendance rates. This is also a neighborhood bounding with promise, including dedicated community stakeholders, an ongoing commitment to educational reform and rich physical, cultural and economic assets.
Early childhood intervention is the greatest predictor of future academic success. That’s why we partner with the area’s leader in early childhood education. Buffalo Promise Neighborhood's two Children’s Academy locations, in partnership with Community Action Organization of WNY, are income-based early childhood education centers, serving 180 students and their families with children aged 6 weeks through PreK.
Westminster Community Charter School, home of the Lions, is a K–8 Buffalo Charter School with 550 enrolled students. Pride is paramount here – we give our students reasons to love school and to focus on becoming their best selves.
Highgate Heights Elementary (Buffalo Public School #80) is a PreK–8 school with 425 students. We focus on academics, along with developing healthy minds and bodies. Learning is rigorous, adaptable and supports a range of student needs. Instructional “coaches” throughout the school help create diverse learning experiences and individualized plans.
