Success starts with strong families, and families thrive when parents and children both have the opportunities and resources to be their best. That's what makes our two-generation programs (Parent Achievement Zone) so important.
Behind Our Approach
Research shows that one-on-one coaching leads to better, longer lasting outcomes. Buffalo Promise Neighborhood partners with SUNY Erie Community College and Belmont Housing Resources to support families in achieving their goals through BPN’s Parent Achievement Zone (PAZ). Parents work one-on-one with PAZ coaches on financial stability, career success and family wellbeing right on-site at their child’s school.
What We Do
Financial education transforms lives. Working with PAZ Financial coaches from Belmont Housing Resources for WNY, parents and families develop money management habits, moving them toward the goal of increased financial independence. The ongoing process creates confidence—and results.
BPN parents can work with PAZ career coaches from SUNY Erie One Stop to set career goals and develop personalized plans for success. Through the program, parents can consider a career change, work towards continuing education, learn workplace success strategies and get help matching their interests and skills with high-demand job areas.
The PAZ whole family approach is focused equally and intentionally on helping to provide services and opportunities for our children and the adults in their lives. Our caring team of experts is here to help!
