Science Technology Engineering Mathematics Night!
Join us at Westminster on February 7 from 5:00pm-6:30pm for our annual STEM Night.
Activities include building a catapult, exploring constellations, origami, coding your name, robots, slime and more!
Westminster Community Charter School students and their families were able to build on their excitement and conduct hands-on experiments and interactive demonstrations created and conducted with very familiar faces – their teachers!
A sample of activities include but are not limited to winter slime, tornado in a bottle, code your name, build a catapult, robotic snowflakes, hot chocolate cup tower, paper helicopters and origami jumping frogs. Additionally, students were treated to time on an actual hoverboard thanks to our partnership with UB Science.
By providing students with critical thinking tools, career opportunities, and a lifelong love of learning, STEM education is shaping their future for a better tomorrow. By investing in our students STEM education today, we are helping to secure their future success.
The Buffalo Promise Neighborhood Two-Generation team was also on hand to share information on our career and financial coach offerings available to families enrolled in our two schools.
