A long-running proud tradition for over twenty-five years, Westminster Community Charter School students once again put on a spectacular musical performance for their friends, families, and teachers. This past weekend, Westminster was proud to present Disney’s Moana Jr. Moana Jr. is an adventurous story about a teenager who sets out on a daring mission to save her people. During her journey, she meets the once-mighty demigod Maui, who guides her in a quest to become an expert way-finder. Together, they sail across the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous monsters and impossible odds. Along the way, Moana fulfills the ancient quest of her ancestors and discovers the one thing she always sought: her own identity.
Beyond the excitement of the sets, lights, costumes, and music, at the heart of our musical production is community. Our school community has been committed to supporting our students in a space where they can explore their imagination, develop critical thinking skills, and build confidence. We remind ourselves often – we are Westminster students first! Our student actors worked hard to maintain academic excellence and conduct themselves in a dignified manner throughout their school day.
