“Never be limited by other people’s limited imaginations.” Dr. Mae Jemison

Before heading off for mid-Winter break, Westminster Community Charter School students proudly presented their annual Black History Month Showcase. Students, families, and staff were treated to a variety of performances including a Step demonstration, musical performances featuring select Black artists to include historical facts, an original rap highlighting Black inventors as well as performances by band and choir. All grades performed, and there was something for everyone!

Additionally, our 8th grade students showcased their well-documented and artfully depicted research projects on famous Black Olympians. They are currently on display in the Library and after break students will have the opportunity to vote for their favorites!

We are inspired by our students as we celebrate Black History Month by recommitting to a shared vision for a community full of equality and opportunity, strengthened by love and hope.
